This question is on canna black dragon
dear sir or madam , can i spilt all types of canna , when and how is the way of doing this . thankyou . ricky howells

Think that works for just about all cannas Nariz.

I keep mine in pots on the floor of the greenhouse but they were very late this year-when do you lift them and replant?

They are pretty tender Arlene. I don't touch mine until I am sure all frost has finished.

Not sure about ALL types, but I have the one with orange flowers and dark striped leaves which I lift every winter and store the rhizomes (?) in a frost-free place, then when I replant in the Spring I break the "new" sections away from the old and plant separately. I now have quite a forest of Cannas.
