I am planning to grow pumpkin 'Hooligan' this year. Can I plant them next to a chicken wire frame or do they grow better trailing on the ground?

Thank you for your reply. I will try them up against some chicken wire - it will take up less space.

It'll be a fairly heavy vine, so get strong supports for the chicken wire, Patricia.

since it's a miniature, you can grow it either way, but ther are fewer rotten fruit when grown off the ground.
