I have inherited an old aluminium green house minus the glass. Welive in a very exposed area and I wondered if it is possible to replace the glass with poly tunnel type plastic. I have had a look online but can't seem to find it...at least not in standard sizes. It is 6ft by 8ft, oh and the door is missing but the frame is sturdy enough.

Hi Ffin and welcome to GoY. Greenhouse glass will actually stand up to extremely windy conditions but if you are concerned you can buy polycarbonate glazing instead. Just do a google search using the words 'polycarbonate greenhouse glazing'.

The problem with using polytunnel plastic is the the greenhouse has sharp edges all over the place which would cut the plastic. Polycarbonate sheets could be the answere.

How do I say thanks?
