Growing Sweet potatoes. I have managed to get a sweet potato to chit. The shoot is about 3 inches long. The sweet potato is sitting halfway in moist compost and the part under the compost has sent out lots of white roots. What do I do next? What does a sweet potato slip look like? Do I cut the shoot off with part of the potato? Help.
