Is it possible to grow a cordyline from a section of trunk.

As when the trunk is wet it makes roots grows, right?

I guess it is. I cut down an apparently dead cordyline last year and laid a long section of trunk on the ground and it sprouted new leaves.

So putting a section of trunk in a pot, it should start growing.

Indeed. Maybe!

What would I have to do to give it the best chance of growing and when should I do it.

Good drainage. Not too dry or wet. Probably from spring onwards.

How do I say thanks?
