following my query of 02/07/08 may i say that all hedge clippings are already shredded by my 'garden groom'hedge cutter before being used as mulch does this change previous replies

Well, I would still rot it down myself. I'd put it into the compost bin and make some really good stuff. Up to you if you haven't had any problems.
