My rhodos always bloom in the Spring but some are in bloom now although much smaller than in the Spring. Is this unusual?

All plants are capable of putting up a few flowers at the 'wrong' time of year.

it is quite common as the day length is similar to that of spring and day light hours is one of the things that initiate flowers.
