Sorry, me again. I tried to set basil seeds the other day but I couldn’t see the damn things. Then was told to put them in a saltpot but it was not much better.
Then a guy said to form a shallow drill, line it with loo roll, scatter them thinly on that then cover with soil and water them. It seemed to work but is there a better way ?
Or is there a better way ?

Thanks SG, sounds a lot easier than loo roll, especially when the wind is blowing.

You can sow fine seed by mixing it with wallpaper paste too. Just make up a small amount of paste flakes with water, stir in the seed so it's evenly distributed & spoon into place. A lot of pastes are anti-fungal too

Thankyou D8, will try out both methods. Have just fetched packets of basil, rocket and spinach so plenty to go at.
