Can anyone recommend trailing plants to tumble down a retainig wall? I'd like silver foliage and some white flowers if possible. In addition they need to be perennial and frost resistant. The wall is sunny in summer and shaded in winter.

Cerastium tomentosum seems to fit the bill - but it can become a nuisance unless you keep it controlled.
