Blue or white, for a sunny border, height does not matter, thank you Steragram.

I have geranium sylvaticum album it's a nice one not too tall about 1ft and clumps up nicely, and flowers around June

Healthy geraniums tend to spread but are easily kept in check. Just divide the clump every few years. Geranium 'Rozanne' is all the rage nowadays.

Thank you Daylily and Bathgate,I will look those up,nice to know they are easy to keep in check.

Agree with Bathgate, I have rozanne and flowers for such a long period, last year it went from early may to mid November, looks great in a large pot.

If you want to confuse yourself with riches have a look at this site

And I've just been looking at hayloft's site for something else and came across a beauty - called Orion. 24x24" and the most enchanting pale baby blue.

I love Gravetye and magnificum ‘Rosemoor’ and Brookside...but oh, there are so many to choose from!

18 Jan, 2018

Thanks Karen,I did not know there were so many,I am going to enjoy researching them.

I used to have books about them Callie, but I had to get rid of them....it was becoming an obsession!

19 Jan, 2018

Callie: There's another geranium worth checking out called 'Geranium Dragon Heart' - dark purple with black centers and big green leaves- very mysterious looking but captivating.

Yes, and Callie, some of them flower all summer long so are especially worth seeking out. :)

Thank you Bathgate,it sound very interesting that one,yes Karen I can see how they become an obsession, they are lovely, and if some are long flowering that will be great.Thank you everyone for taking time to help me.

Rozanne is also very attractive to bees and is the best of all my geraniums for long-flowering. No wonder it won an RHS prize.

I am going to give Rozanne the Chelsea chop this year as it always rampages through the whole border on long leggy stems.

28 Jan, 2018

I have ordered Rozanne and a few others,Merlinbaby, and thank you Karen about the Chelsea chop,I am also doing that to my sedums.

28 Jan, 2018

You’re welcome Callie. I don’t usually chop anything here because our growing season is so short. But for some reason Rozanne goes crazy and can produce stems about a metre long which smother everything else in the border. Hopefully this will solve it because the flowers are stunning!

It is a stunner,I can not wait to see what it looks like in my garden. It will probably be ok this year, but I will keep an eye on it next year, and cut it back if needs be.Thank you for all your help.
