Pruning callistemon bottle brush plants

I have just moved and have 2 very lagre plants 8ft high and 6 feet round i need to know how much i can cut these back as they have never been cut back in the past. please help

just done a quick search for you and yes the bottle brush can be pruned after flowering to make a more compact bush as they can get a bit straggly . Try this link http://www.pfaf.org/database/plants.php?Callistemon+citrinus
