Fence the dogs in to their own bit of garden.

Hi Tush and welcome to GoY Bulba is correct you can't have delicate plants and dogs in the same space unless the dogs are extremely well trained. Fence off an area and let them play in that, which breed are they out of interest?

My Labrador doesn't go into the flower beds unless a ball is thrown across them by accident! I had to put a small fence across one area where he kept using a corner as a short-cut. This has worked even though he could jump it or even walk over it - it's only 18" tall - more a visual deterrent.

I've trained him not to go on the flowerbeds from when he was a little puppy - it can be done with a system of commands and rewards.
