I have successfully grown a cauliflower which we have since eaten. What do I do with the rest of the plant, leave it in the ground or dig it up?

Unlike the roots of Legumes, leaving the roots of Brassica's serves little purpose so dig up. Remember not to plant any Brassica in the same area for two seasons.

The cauliflower has hard, woody stem so crush this with a hammer before putting in the compost bin.
