I have today received a Dwarf Pear Lilliput. What type of compost should I plant it in, also should I feed it when I plant it? If so, what type of feed? I will be planting it in a pot on the patio. Thank you for you.

If nobody else answers I'd go for John Innes 3. With that it wont need feeding for a while as there is feed in the compost.

Thats what I would use too Stera. I would also feed with Maxicrop or other seaweed fertiliser as it really gets roots established well. :)

Would you feed it straight away Karen?

Yes I would, because its a growth stimulator so you would help get the plant rooted in its container. But not too strong mind!
