It's not an easy weed - the best advice is to cover it with black plastic and leave it on for a year...but otherwise, dig, dig, dig. A systemic weedkiller like 'Roundup' might help if you can get it on the weeds only, but bruise them first to help it to work, and you may well need to repeat this several times.
