Has anyone tried this for getting rid of Liverwort on seed pans.
From the Scottish Rock garden Club site.
Are you are looking for a solution to a liverwort problem? I use Baking powder (Sodium hydrogen carbonate) Mix one teaspoonful with a little very fine sand, sprinkle it over the pots and water it in. Doesn't appear to affect the seedlings, well not here anyway.

Seed trays should not get Liverwort, which is a sign of too much water and dampness. But on saying this it might work so worth a try. A dilute Hydrogen Peroxide sprayed on sees compost normally prevents dampening off.

Our seed trays/pots (for hardy perenials, are outdoors Botanic, and always get liverwort. Probaly worth a try if I can sneak into the kitchen press!

We get liverwort on everything. Even on the sharp sand in the cuttings frame and that is definitely not too wet.
Boss says I can have some to try.
Oh and Hydrogen peroxide is not easy to get hold of and it definitely kills the seedlings!

Hydrogen Peroxide is easy to get hold of - eBay and Amazon sells it. It will not kill seedlings if it is very dilute - you hardly pour 30% Hydrogen Peroxide on anything...even the stuff the dentist uses to whiten teeth is about 5-12%!

I'd stick to the baking powder...

How dilute Botanic? I have a bottle of it and my Cheshunt compound is too old and hard to use.

Hydrogen Peroxide, H2O2, degrades over time to H2O...so if it is over a year old it will be very dilute already.
How dilute depends on how concentrated it says on the bottle. I would aim for a 1% solution and spray that. That is what I use to stop rot on plants.
