can apples with powdery mildew be eaten or should I destroy all apples on all my trees

Just remove the leaves with powdery mildew and, if apples edible later on, when ripened, as late as october in some varieties, the mildew will be long gone. Mildew often gets a hold due, oddly enough, during dry weather.
