hi all, i have roses in my garden some of the blooms have finished .I have been advised to drea head them, Ihave just snipped off the flowers, is that right or should i cut them as if they were cut flowers for iside. I also have fed them with rose food after i had finished was that o.k? sorry its a long question

I cut just the head off until the last one on the stem and then I cut it further back on the plant to encourage new flowering shoots.
