My lawn seems to be dying in places. when I tried to replace areas with new turf , the soil beneath the old turf isbone dry and white in places.

I don't know where you are in the UK, but anywhere in the south we don't have green grass any more, it's all brown and yellow - we have a drought, could that be your problem too?

It's due to the dry weather. It needs watering (sprinkler system)? fairly regularly if no rain. New turf needs well watering.

How do I say thanks?
