No..... its all wrapped up in a none plastic overcoat. Which means it tastes nicer than when you buy it.

It's only the American Crow (Corvus brachyrynchos) that has figured out how to peel back the sheaths to get at the kernels. Luckily, in Europe, our Crow (Corvus corone) hasn't come across this crop for long and hasn't discovered it's worth.......yet!
