I have three Acers in the garden two green and one red. The two green Acers are doing quite well but everytime the red one gets leaves on they crinkle round the edges and eventually drop off. Has anyone got any ideas as to why this is happening and what I might be able to do to improve this? Thankyou Joan25

Yes, I think it was Bjs said recently that the darker green ones seemed more tolerant than the red ones.

The green ones can take more wind but even they prefer a sheltered position. Are the green ones Japanese acers or a different acer?

Is it planted in a windy area and/or in full sun? The Japanese acers don't tolerate wind well and this sounds like wind burn to me. How long has the acer been planted?
