I have a willow (don't know what sort)which has twisted branches attractive in winter, It has grown to about 12 feet in around 10-12 years - how do I stop it growing any higher>

Hi Kev 65, welcome to GoY. Its best to prune back the tree to a managable height in Spring before the leaves open. Pruning back now can cause the tree to bleed heavily.
