Flowers on my cordyline australis

My two Cordyline australis trees have flowered this year (they are 4 years old), however the flowers are finishing now and I dont know if you are supposed to cut the flower stem away after flowering. Any tips please?

We have recently bought 4 Cordyline Sparkler plants which we have in planters. Is there a feed you would recommend to keep them looking nice and healthy.
