Ivy
Ivy

We have an ivy that's creeping in under the fence from next door and taking over the ground, fence and trees' ! We've tried pulling at it which gets little bits up but is there an easier way?

We were plagued with ivy in our old garden and someone said to us to put salt on the roots.

Only if your neighbour wants it gone too - then you can use a systemic weedkiller on it. This goes through the leaves and down the stems to the roots, so it kills the whole plant. Be careful if you use a spray - it will kill anything else it lands on! Also, has to be a completely calm day or the spray will drift on to other plants. You can 'paint' a systemic weedkiller onto the top leaves of a strand, which would also work.
