Hi, I have a lot of lovely old Auricula (gold lace cap i think). They are now straggly and leggy-how can I renew them and get more planrs? and when? Live in NW so mild and invariably wet.

take root cuttings, they do really well that way.

I have just been repotting primulas. The long, leggy ones were broken up so that many of the stems had roots and these were repotted. Even if these are in the garden I would divide some of them now and grow the divisions on in a decent compost until they are established. You can put several plants in one large pot.

How do I say thanks?
