i agree and you will get on top of the weeds quicker than you imagine.as long as you plant your veg in dedicated lines at set distances it will be obvious what are weeds while they are ver young .

Chickweed was also grown as a veg plant in Elizabethan times. It's very rich in vitamin C. Not much help but it is quite edible.
