I have just cut down a good hundred canes to get rid of my invasive common green bamboo to build a sculpture instead . I can just dump the canes but it seams a shame . anyone got any ideas for them ?

and the engineering with a 6 foot planter but with only 3 feet of soil at the top including drainage and make sure its not top heavy . plus choosing the right grass that grows about 3 feet tall and about 30" wide and watering . last but not least the the art part not to mention my bad back lol x .

Awww bless you. You enjoy every minute of being happy x
By the way, do you have to kill off the old bamboo, will roundup work?

as it was in a buried bucket I put a few kilos of salt on it dawn and wet it a bit and it will just run down the bucket and kill just the bamboo then dissolve safely xx .

Good plan. I use salt to kill the weeds on my gravel drive, cheap, effective and not harmful to my pets, like chemicals.

Flog them - put them outside the front of your property sell them or give them away in bundles. Or do you have a local allotment? They'd love them.
