I bought a Meconopsis betonicifolia from a reliable garden store on line. When i got the plant it only had 2 small leaves but a fair size root. After planting it within a few days the leaves recessed into the ground instead of growing is this a good sign that the plant will be okay?

If it is a reliable garden store Tsssis, you should be able to return it and get a refund. It's certainly worth a try.

Thank you both. I did call the garden center and they told me that the plant is most likely in shock, makes sense. If there is no growth by the end of summer they will replace it or give me a credit. She said all their plants are fully guaranteed. :) I will let you know what happens!
