I have a green Japenese Maple which has been planted in the ground for around 4 or 5 years. It's doing well but getting a bit large for its spot, will it survive a move and when would be the best time of year to do it? Thanks.

You should move it autumn/winter. They have a fibrous root system, so should move successfully. Make sure you lift it with as big a rootball of soil as possible and replant it to the same depth as before.
