i would give any plant a chance if it still seams to be strong rooted or it is a bit green anywear under the brown colour.what have you got to lose after all ? if it does come back it wont be that strong bye next winter so you will maybe have to put it in a green house next winter or wrap it up realy well .this is relevent information for most plants but im sure you would get a much better answer with a picture aand or its latin name on here.
