Hi Everyone
I have planted some corn seeds what is the best way of growing corn I have never grown corn before will the plants go into large pots and how many cobs will each plant produce.

When we had a vegetable patch we grew them in a square formation to help with pollination. You can grow the seeds on in small pots and plant out following packet instructions. We always had a good crop. Never tried pots, I should think they prefere open ground. If no ground try a large pot. In open well manured ground you might get 3-4 good cobs per plant.

as Dorjac has told you -- the sweetcorn is wind pollinated which is why you grow in a square also they really dislike being transplanted and I grew them in fibre pots and planted the whole thing. keeping them watered enough may be a problem unless you had a really big pot

If you don't have enough space for a small cornfield, try planting 8-12 plants in a clump about a meter wide, like the Native Americans do here in the Southwest.
