Hello everybody! I was just sifting my home made compost ready for my baskets and found this little chap! He's about 8mm long... could it be vine weevil grub? If so what can I do, there are bound to be more I suspect.

yes, I think you're right. I put the grub on the path and within seconds, our resident robin came and gobbled it up - nature working at it's best.

its hard to say what grub that is .i would just step on it as it looks like a type of beetle grub to me then make sure you sift all your soil.its hard to keep any flying insect out of an open garden realy.
