I have a garden pond filled with rocks with a fountain. I do not wish to grow anything in it or have wildlife in the pond. The water is alkiline. how do I keep the water clear? in the past I have used swimming pool chlorine, which keeps the water clear, but results in a calcium build up on the stones.

Go to Bradshaws website and choose a suitable pond product, Aquaplancton, perhaps. This will be more friendly to any animal-life that falls in!
