Grafted Maples....Good or bad?

Been after a Sango Kaku maple for a while, Seen one today at the local nursery was about 60 cms tall but the graft was obvious.

Does it just restrict there growth or will the graft break away eventually?
Thanks in advance.

If the graft is obvious and ugly then I would avoid the plant. It indicates a poor grafting technique and it is possible that this is a weakness in the stem which could break at some future date.
