what are greeen bubbles that sit on top of the water in my pond?

the green is an algal scum that has trapped oxygen in it hence the bubble.
If you carefully lay a sheet of newspaper on the surface and then peel it back slowly most of the scum will stick to the paper. the paper can either go in the compost bin or in the household bin.
