The label on mine says "protect from frost". I left it in an unheated greenhouse the winter of 2008-2009 and thought it had died but I managed to save it. This winter I brought it indoors, left it in a cool room, pruned it in early spring and it is growing beautifully now. They are spectacular plants but best grown in a pot for convenience. They are fine outside for the summer. Hope this helps.
