Last year i planted a painted fern in my front garden, it grew well, but all the foliage has died away over this winter, there is nothing left except the root system, before i dig it up and bin it, will it come back ?

mine doesnt look too hot either but I am going to give it at least a month before it gets the heave ho.

I've had one for three years now, they do loose their leaves over winter but should sprout again soon, no sign of life of mine yet either so don't give up hope yet.
