I'm supposed to get notified hourly but seems once a day

Hi, I get e-mails, which start: in the last hour you have received, then followed by x no of comments, or private messages, you only get e-mails when someone comments on your own questions, blogs or private messages, you don't get them if you comment on anything, this appears in your "news", Derek.

I no longer get the emails used to.

Sometimes I get notifications a few days after and other times I get ... none!

I often get the emails several days late or not at all.

So I am not alone. I may receive some notifications later. Useful? Probably not, as I go online and check my news at least once a day.

Its not as good as it used to be. I check back on the items I have commented on and find them.

i don't get emails any more, but i check on here every day so not a problem for me.

Mine goes in fits and starts, some days my news page doesn't update at all, its as though nothing is being commented on and when I check the blogs they are ongoing, I don't very often get emails these days but to be honest it hadn't occurred to me until I saw this query, perhaps Iciar is receiving them, lol.........

I've just checked out my profile because we are discussing this topic and its still the same as it was, forgot to say that mine is set on daily, it doesn't really bother me though as I flit about during my spells on here but I did miss a few PM's recently and felt guilty about not answering for a few days.........

yes, agree with what Lincslass says. It doesn't bother me either, but when I do get an advisory email I've usually already seen the messages. Haven't wanted to tell the 'boys' as they do such a good job on the whole!

Same here,Sheila..not bothered about email notifications really..just as easy to check on GoY..news,comments messages..It's very rarely I open an email from them,as i've already seen them,well before the email appears..supposed to a daily one,but never is..
