Last year I had my planters stolen from the front garden and was upset so my neighbour asked if I would like a pot someone was giving away it was full of nice bedding planters but when I have come to empty it out I have found a chickens egg buried in the soil it was not cooked and had a date mark on it why would it have been put there?

never had this in a pot but have found eggs like this in the garden i believe it may be foxes - people feed them these eggs and the fox likes to save them for later
