low growing rock plant

I would like suggestions for a selection of plants that will grow between cracks in paving stones or flags. They must be low growing, colourful and of limited spread.

Thyme is good for this. You can get different types and they will give off a fragrance when you tread on them.

How about weeds they always seem to survive in cracks! Just joking. what about 'babies tears'.

Thyme is good and a lemon one would smell lovely.

Houseleeks or sempervivums - they are practically indestructible and should start flowering around now.
