Hardy?

This question is on Hebe speciosa

Is it hardy in a proper winter (not last year's!)

Hi Dormer, it looks like H.speciosa can manage 0 degrees to -5 depending on the cultivar but it seems the variegated varieties might not manage... are you expecting a proper winter?

Broad leafed hebes are considered to be less hardy than the narrow leafed ones. They former certainly do not survive here in most winters.
