Bay tree death
Bay tree death
Asked on 13 Jun, 2008
hi - my hairdresser and her partner were recently given a bay tree as a wedding present. Sadly they forgot to water it and consequently it looks very poorly. They have been advised that there is no way back and it is dead as all the leaves are dried up. Is this true? Is there any remedy for it or is it only good for cooking now?

many thanks
Alison

Hi Alison try scraping a little bit of the bark of with your nail, if the wood underneath the bark is brown it's dead but if the pulp is white and moist doan't give up on it. Best of luck. and welcome to goy.
