I live in Minden, Nevada, as a child I lived in Orange CA and we had two Eriobotrya japonica's I so loved the fruit. Can I grow one in Northern NV and if so where can I purchase one?

Probably not. Loquats are hardy to 0 F. and since you are located in the Sierras, it gets a lot colder than that.
