Identification needed ?

Can anyone help me identify this plant please ? The flowers are more dark red rather than pink , they are approx 1.5 cms wide but resemble a poppy flower .

Is it a small shrub rather than a plant? It looks a bit like a Leptospermum to me. Very pretty, whatever it is!
