If it in a pot, anytime ,but I would plant in the Autumn or Spring. As you may be planting it near a housewall, in Summer it can get very dry and hot by a wall .

i would chose spring given the choice though autum is good to.its just that in spring it will start growing and wont have a whole winter to suffer doorment.your right about dry next to houses wyeboy so i recomend you plant it 18" out from said wall but aut angle it towards the wall.
