Iv'e got an established "Williams" pear in my garden but in the last two years the fruit are full of cracks, can anyone advise me why?

On plant Williams Pear

could do with more info, ie'are some of the pairs mishapen are there any brown or black scabs, are there olive greenblotches on the leaves,if any or all then you have SCAB burn allthe leaves as they fall, cut out scabby shoots at pruning spray with carbendazim or mancozeb,or triforine with bupirimate, but there are others that might have diferent advice,up to you to get there views then have a good look at the tree and deside what to do because we can only see it through your eyes

Sounds like pear scab which is worse in wet weather

I would say this is cracking after a dry spell, followed by heavy rain. The skins were too hard to take up the excess of water.
