I've just bought a Sorbus 'Joseph Rock', is it likely to be affected by the Ash disease?

Sorbus is Rosaceae and Ash is Oleaceae,so not the same genus.

No, if you look further down the questions its common ash thats affected Fraxinus excelsior, yours is genus Sorbus so should be fine
