THEY HAVE BEEN ON THE BENCH IN MY GREENHOUSE FOR OVER A WEEK BUT A LOT OF THEM ARE TURNING A SORT OF PURPELY RED COLOUR FROM INSIDE. WHAT CAUSES THIS IS IT SOMETHING I HAVE DONE PERHAPS OVER FEEDING ? . IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT ?

Hi Tom,
You should have left the onions as they were.
Take them out of the greenhouse and put them in a cool dry shed. The flesh when peeled back is drying then turning red. The onions will now wither on the outside and may not keep for any length of time.
