If you want to be really fancy you plait the onions... frankly even though this is easy to do we just store in a net!

i know it sounds odd but an old pair of tights are brilliant snip off th legs put your first onion into the toe tie a knot then next onion tie a knot and so on keeps the air circulating round them as as you need them snip the first one off and the rest are still safetly in place.

hi once you pull them out of the ground what i do is lay them on the top of the soil for a week to dry out then rub off any excess soil tie them together in a cool dry shed hang them up and pick as you require them hope this helps
