late summer baskets

In my garden centre they already have
trays of cyclamen which do well in baskets. I have the same problem - scruffy baskets when the petunias
and lobelia are over. On Gardeners World I saw a really pretty basket they did using just garden herbs - like sage/thyme/chives. It will all be various shades of green, but if you shoved in a couple of pansies too......?
I shall try it this weekend anyway as I can't stand my scruffy baskets any longer!
